Altoon, John
(1925 Los Angeles-2/8/1969 Los Angeles) (USA)
   Painter and graphic artist. Most active in the Los Angeles art scene in the 1950s and 60s. Started as an abstract-expressionist but later turns to naturalism. Struggled with mental illness and heart trouble. Created an erotic series of drawings featuring phallic images in the mid 1960s.
